Cashmans Buckeye Nutrition Ultimate Finish 25 is a vegetable-based fat supplement designed to add calories and improve body condition in horses without increasing the amount of grain you feed, making it a smart choice for hard keepers, horses in heavy work, and horses recovering from illness or weight loss. This Ultimate Finish 25 fat supplement contains a blend of vegetable oils from flaxseed, rice bran, and soybeans that provide a slow, steady energy release – delivering additional calories as fat rather than starch, which keeps horses calmer and reduces digestive upset compared to adding more grain. The nutritionally balanced formula of this Buckeye fat supplement provides 25% fat and uses those calories efficiently without the hot energy response that high-grain feeding can produce. This Ultimate Finish 25 comes in a 40-pound bag, making it a practical size for ongoing supplementation programs.
This Ultimate Finish 25 fat supplement is used as a top dressing on the horse’s existing feed ration, keeping feeding routines simple and changes to the existing program minimal. Horses that need more calories without more feed volume – due to dental issues, metabolic sensitivity to starch, or high workload – are ideal candidates for this Buckeye Ultimate Finish 25. Cashmans carries this fat supplement alongside Ultimate Finish 40 and Ultimate Finish 100, as well as the full Buckeye Nutrition feed line.
