Cashmans safflower seeds are a specialty wild bird feed known for attracting cardinals, house finches, and chickadees while being largely passed over by squirrels and pest birds that dominate standard feeders. This safflower bird seed has a slightly bitter taste that most squirrels, grackles, and starlings avoid, while cardinals and chickadees seek it out consistently. Adding safflower seeds to your feeding station is a practical way to reduce competition at feeders and attract the backyard birds you want most. The 50-pound bag of this wild bird seed is a cost-effective option for regular feeding at multiple feeders.
Safflower seeds can be offered alone in a dedicated feeder or mixed with black oil sunflower seeds and other premium seeds to create a highly attractive blend for desirable songbirds. This safflower bird seed works in tube feeders, hopper feeders, and platform feeders without clogging or bridging. Cardinals in particular strongly prefer safflower seeds and will return consistently to feeders where this seed is offered. Pick up your 50-pound bag of wild bird seed at Cashmans in Delaware, Ohio.
